Ես մի չգրված օրենք ունեմ. մի տեղ գնալուց հետս անպայման պետք է վերցնեմ քարտեզ: Բայց հաշվի առնելով, որ այս անգամ մենակ չէի, դեռ ավելին, մի մարդու հետ, որը Քյոլնում մի հազար անգամ եղել է, տպեցի մենակ երթուղին առանց քարտեզի:
Հետևանքներն իրենց զգացնել տվեցին արդեն Քյոլնի մոտակայքում, երբ պարզվեց, որ, հերիք չի` սխալ տեղ ենք դուրս եկել մայրուղուց, դեռ մի հատ էլ վերանորոգումներ են ճանապարհին, ու Google Maps-ի երթուղին այլևս չի կարող մեզ օգնել: Երկար-բարակ մտածելուց հետո պարզ դարձավ, որ բացող խմբին բաց ենք թողնելու, իսկ Քյոլնի փողոցները շուրջ մեկ ժամ մեքենայով չափչփելուց հետո պարզ դարձավ, որ եթե չկենտրոնանք, ուրեմն Kasabian-ին էլ կարելի է հրաժեշտ տալ:
Սիրում եմ քեզ, Քյոլն, տրամվայի քո կայարաններով, որտեղ կարելի է գտնել եթե ոչ քաղաքի, ապա գոնե տրանսպորտային քարտեզը: Քանի որ նույն ակումբում մի անգամ էլ էի եղել, ապա հիշում էի մոտակա մետրոկայարանի անունն ու այնտեղից ճանապարհը դեպի ակումբ: Եվ այսպես, մենք արդեն ունեինք պլան (էն իմաստով չէ, հեհե): Այն գործեց անթերի:
Երբ մի կերպ մեզ ներս գցեցինք Քյոլնի Live Music Hall ակումբ (որը բավական մեծ տարածք է ընդգրկում ու միիիիի փոքր հիշեցնում է Հռոմի Circolo Degli Artisti ակումբը), պարզվեց, որ Ճիշտ ժամանակին ենք հասել. բացող խումբն արդեն վերջացրել էր, ու այն ձանձրալի ընդմիջումն էր, երբ գործիքներ են փոխում, ու ակումբի երաժիշտները “ձայնաստուգում” են անում (soundcheck): Իհարկե, մի-մի բաժակ գերմանական գարեջուր (մմմմ), և խցկվում ենք ամբոխի մեջ ու գրավում լավ էլ կենտրոնական դիրք: Չհաշված, որ գերմանացիները լավ էլ բարձրահասակ են, մնացածը նորմալ էր, չնայած մեկ-մեկ ստիպված էի ձգվել, կանգնել ոտնաթաթերիս, բայց տեսադաշտս լավ էլ բաց էր (ամեն դեպքում հաջորդ անգամ պետք է էնպես անել, որ չուշանալ, էդքան բան: Հա, մեկ էլ պետք է Քյոլնի նորմալ մեծ ու մանրամասն քարտեզ առնել):
Այսպես ասենք. Kasabian-ի երաժշտությունն ինձ համար երբեք հիշվող չի եղել: Նորմալ չեմ հիշել ոչ մեղեդիները, ոչ բառերը, ոչ էլ երգերի վերնագրերը, բայց էն խմբերից է, որոնք միշտ անհասկանալի կերպով քեզ ձգում են: Դա էր պատճառը, որ որոշեցի գնալ համերգին: Միգուցե պատճառը նաև այն էր, որ մոտիվացիա էի փնտրում ավելի խորանալու նրանց երաժշտության մեջ ու, ինչու ոչ, խմբին ավելի լավ հասկանալու ու սիրելու. դե, կողմնորոշվելու, էլի: :Դ

Դե էլեկտրոբասն իր գործն արեց. մասսան վառվեց մի այլ կարգի: Հետաքրքիր մի բան. այս խմբի երաժշտության մեջ բացակայում է մեղեդայնությունը: Նրանց ամբողջ դրայվը կայանում է հենց դրայվի, այսինքն բասի ու բիթերի մեջ:
Բայց էլ ավելի հետաքրքիր էր այն ասոցիացիան, որն առաջացավ իմ գլխում` կապված Oasis-ի ու Guy Ritchie-ի հետ: Oasis-ի հետ ասոցիացիան կապված էր էն պոֆիգիստության հետ, որի մասին նշեցի վերևում: Չկար անմիջականությունը, ամեն դեպքում, ես դա չզգացի, չնայած հիանալի ժամանակ անցկացրի, երաժշտությունն էլ իմն էր ու գերազանց: Դա մեկ: Իսկ Գայ Ռիչիի հետ կապված ասեմ, որ ողջ համերգի ընթացքում մտքումս պտտվում էին ռեժիսորի ֆիլմերից հատվածներ, ու հասկացա, որ եթե Snatch-ի նման մի կինո էլ որոշի նկարել ռեժիսորը, անպայման պիտի խմբին հրավիրի soundtrack գրելու: Kasabian-ի մաֆիայոտ մեղեդիները ԼՐԻՎ Ռիչիի փախած սցենարների համար են ստեղծված (ստեղծվելու):
Դրայվոտ երգերի կողքին խումբն ավելի բալլադային երգեր էլ նվագեց, որոնք, մեղմ ասած, տրանսի մեջ էին գցում: Նկատել եմ` մի քիչ արևելյան մոտիվներ ունեն: Համ էլ անընդհատ նույն թեման կրկնող բասն ու կիթառը հիպնոսացնում են ուղեղդ: Ու երբ ամեն ինչ ուղեկցվում է գժանոց լուսային էֆեկտներով, արդեն մոռանում ես` ով ես կամ ինչ ես...
Համերգը գնահատում եմ գերազանց ու հասկանում, որ պետք է կենտրոնանալ առաջին ալբոմի վրա, ինչն էլ անում եմ ՀԵՆՑ ՀԻՄԱ:

ՀԳ. Համերգի երկրորդ հատվածում Թոմն ի վերջո հանեց իր կաշվե բաճկոնը: Բրիտանացիներն էլ են մարդ ու մեկ-մեկ շոգում են: :Դ

There is an unwritten rule for me: always take or print a map when you are going somewhere. But considering the fact that this time I wasn’t alone but with a person who has been in Köln for thousand times already, I printed out only the “getting direction” guide.
As a result, already somewhere near Köln we realized that we took the wrong exit from the highway plus there are constructions on the road and the direction guide from Google Maps wouldn’t help this time. Now it was clear that we were going to miss the opening band. And afterwards, driving in the streets of Köln for one hour, we realized that if we don’t think of a concrete plan, then we are going to miss Kasabian, too!
I love you, Köln, your tram stations where you have if not city map, then at least transport map. Considering that I have been to the venue once already I knew the nearby metro station name and the way from the station to the club. So, now we have a plan. And we executed the plan perfectly!
When we rushed into Live Music Hall (which is quite big and reminds me a bit of Circolo Degli Artisti in Rome), we found out that we are just in time! There was this annoying break after the opening band, when the club technicians are changing the instruments and doing soundcheck. Of course, a glass of German beer (mmm), and then we go directly into the crowd, taking a central position. Not counting the fact that German people are quite tall, everything was quite fine, although I had to stretch sometimes to see the stage more clearly (next time I need to get before the concert starts, that’s it! And yes, I need to buy a big detailed map of Köln).
Let’s say, Kasabian’s music was never memorable for me. I don’t remember their tunes, lyrics or song titles usually. But they are a kind of a band that attract you in a strange way. That was the reason why I decided to attend this concert. Perhaps the other reason was that I was searching for a motivation to dig into this band’s music and, why not, know them better and like them more.
And so, another example of British “I don’t care”. The first tunes ever heard on the concert were coming out from the electro bass. This is kind of a visit card for the band. The vocalist – Tom Meighan was wearing long leather jacket, which was making your mood more British (I said more British? Hell, there was more pure British English talk all around (mmm), than German!).
Dancing people who sometimes appear up your head, flying cups in the air which slap you with beer.. and totally different crowd! Mostly mature people, not teenagers, totally indie fashion, sneakers, slim pants and indie hairstyle. I loved this crowd! :)
Well, electrobass did what it should: the crowd was on fire! Interesting fact: Kasabian music is not melodic. Their drive is in the drive itself, I mean, in bass and beats.
But there was something that was more interesting: an association with Oasis and Guy Ritchie. It reminded me of Oasis because of this “I don’t care” style. There was no close connection with the audience, at least I didn’t feel it, although I spent a great time, and the music was mine and perfect! Next, about Guy Ritchie: during the show I had all this famous scenes from Guy Ritchie films in my mind, and I realized that if the director decides to shoot another film in the style of the Snatch, he has to invite Kasabian to write soundtrack for it. Kasabian’s music in maphia style is just made (will be made) for the crazy scenarios of Guy Ritchie!
In the same row with drive Kasabian played some ballad-like songs, which were driving you into trance. I noticed, they have some eastern elements in the music. Besides that the repeating bass and guitars are hypnotizing your mind. And when everything is accompanied with crazy light show, you forget who or what are you...
The show was perfect and now I realize, that I have to concentrate on the first album. And I am doing it right NOW!
