Ասել, որ այս ալբոոմը շատ երկար էր սպասված, նշանակում է ոչինչ չասել: Ամիսներ առաջ, երբ արդեն հայտնի էր թողարկման օրը, օդի մեջ մի տեսակ Մյուզաշարժ նկատվեց: Իսկ ընդհանրապես երբ սկսվեց սեպտեմբերը յուրաքանչյուր իրեն հարգող Մյուզասերի (չեմ ուզում օգտագործել ֆանատ բառը) մոտ սկսվեց օրերի հետ հաշվարկ: Իսկ 14-ին մարդիկ միմյանց բարևի փոխարեն ասում էին MUSE: Հետո` ԼՌՈՒԹՅՈՒՆ, այդ առումով, ի զարմանք ձեզնից շտերի (երևի), նույնիսկ մեր բլոգում էր լռություն տիրում, բաաա: Իսկ մոտ մի շաբաթ անց մյուզամանյակները  բաժանվեցին երկու բանակների: Ի՞նչ պատահեց սիրելիներս (խոսքս ուղղված է ընդդիմախոս բնակին), չէ՞ որ նախօրոք ասվել էր, որ սա դասականորեն տարբերվելու է մյուս ալբոմներից, ուրեմն էլ ինչու՞ եք բողոքում, թե` “նրանք մեզ, ի՞նչ է, ձե՞ռ են առնում”: Ճիշտ է, ալբոմը որոշ հատվածներում դասական-սիմֆոնիկ ինչ-որ բան է հիշեցնում, բայց դա այնքան էլ սարսափելի չէ (սարսափելի դեռ չեք տեսել): Երևի նրանց հոգում կուտակվել է մի բան, որը առանց օրկեստրի արտահայտել հնարավոր չէ, ու բազմաթիվ երաժշտական գործիքների առկայությունը ականջ շոյող է (իիիիինչ, էտպես մի նայեք. Մյուզի դեպքում մեզ վերամբարձ խոսքեր կարող ենք թույլ տալ): Այնուհանդերձ ալբոմը դռայվ, արագություն էլ ունի, թախիծ էլ, կոնկրետ ինձ համար լաավ էլ Մյուզական է: Հիմնական թեման Սերն է` իր բոլոր դրսևորումներով: Եվ այսպես` The Resistance.

ՈՒուուուու… ապստամբու՜մ ենք ՄՅՈՒԶի հետ, որպեսզի չաղլիկ կատուները սրտի կաթված ստանան, հասկանում եք, էլի, փոխաբերական իմաստով. Uprising–ը շատ ըմբոստ ու ոգևորող երգ է` համապատասխան հնչողությամբ, իրենց իսկ ոճով, երգի մեջ մի տեսակ հնչողություն կա (կարծեմ դա ստեղնաշարային գործիքով է արվում), որը ձեր հիշողության մեջ կզուգորդվի նրանց Bliss երգի հետ: Մեկը ես, մինչ ալբոմը լսելը վախենում էի, որ բացումը կարվի United States of Eurasia-ի կարգի ինչ-որ երգով, որը ինքնին հիանալի, դրական երգ է` կոչված համախմբելու մարդկանց` համընդհանուր խաղաղության ու միասնության կոչ, բայց երևի կհիասթափվեի, եթե Uprising-ը չբացեր ալբոմը… Բայց թողնենք սա: Ա՜հ, եթե հիշում եք մենք United States of Eurasia-ի մասին բլոգում առանձին մեկնաբանություն ունենք… Հաշվի առեք, խնդրեմ:

Ալբոմի համանուն երգը` Resistance. մեկն այն երգերից , երբ կա արագ ռիթմ, բայց միևնույն է, թախծոտ է. խոստովանեմ, երբ առաջին ու… հաջորդող մի քանի անգամները լսեցի, աչքերս լցվեցին: Սիրո պատմություն է, երբ այնպես է ստացվում,որ հերոսները վերջում իրենց սիրո պատճառով պետք է անընդհատ փախուստի մեջ լինեն… տխուուր է :Չ Բայց իի՛նչ զիլ կհնչի մեծ մարզադաշտում.. է՜խ: Իսկ տխրության ամպերը իր հրաշք հնչողությամբ կցրի Undisclosed Desires-ը, այնքանով, որ շատ հնարավոր է` նույնիսկ քթի տակ կմռմռացնեք.

Guiding Light – խեենթացնող սոլո գիթառը ու Մեթյուի hoooooooo, hooooo, Mhooooo Haaaaaaaaa-ն…. պատկանում է մարզադաշտում զիլ հնչողություն ապահովող երգերի կատեգորիային, երբ հազարավոր երկրպագուներ շունչները պահած կվայելեն այն: Unnatural Selection` երբ նորից փիլիսոփայում է ՄՅՈՒԶԸ: Լսեք միայն, երգը սկսում է երգեհոնով. սկզբում ձեզ կպատկերացնեք եկեղեցում (!?) հետո հանկարծ գլխապատառ դուրս կթռչեք ու վազքով կընկնեք փողոցները, կհասնեք մի բարձր կետի ու ամբողջ աշխարհին կգոռաք. ”Ես ճշմարտությունն եմ  ուզու՜մ”:

MK Ultra. Սա մեր իմացած Մյուզն է` ահավոր դռայվով, հրաշալի գործիքավորմամբ ու էլի մտածելու տեղիք տվող մտքերով:

I Belong to You` օհհ, փշաքաղվում ես, երբ սկսում ես ուշադիր լսել ու հասկանում, որ սա ամենաիսկական սիրո խոստովանություն է, այն ամենը, ինչ Մեթը չի կարողացել արտահայտել ուղղակի խոսելով: Այս երգով նա զուգահեռներ է տարել իր կյանքի ու Camille Saint-Saёn-ի “Սամսոնը և Դալիլան” օպերայի միջև…. Փաստրեն շատ խոսակցությունների առիթ է տվել, սկսած` թե ինչքան վատ է արտասանում ֆրանսերեն հատվածը, վերջացրած նրանով, որ այս երգը Մեթյուն գրել է իր սիրուն` Gaia Pօlloni-ին, չնայած` որ նա դա չի ընդունում: Ամեն դեպքում, եթե չխորանանք նրանց կյանքի մեջ ու երգին նայենք ուղղակի, ուրեմն սա ռոքի ու օպերայի աշխարհի ամենացնցող կատարումն Է: Իսկ վերջում մեզ սպասում են իսկական օրկեստրային երեք կատարումներ` Exogenesis: Symphony, Part 1; 2 ; 3: Դժվարանում եմ առանձին-առանձին մեկնաբանել երգերը. պարզապես այս երեքը միասին հանգիստ կարող են մինի օպերա լինել… Ամեն դեպքում իմ սիրելի հատվածը երրորդն է, բայց երեքն էլ ՀՐԱՇԱԼԻ են:

Այո, հիմա շատերդ կասեք, որ այս երգերը այնքան էլ (մեղմ ասած) կապ չունեն ինդի ռոքի հետ, բայց, հարգելինե’րս, սա ՄՅՈՒԶն է:

Just to say that the album was long-waited means to say nothing. Many months ago, when the date of release was known, a Muse-movement started. And when September came every Muse listener (just don’t want to use the word “fan”) started a countdown. And on September 14 everybody was saying “Muse” instead of “hi”. Then – a silence. To your surprise (maybe) even our blog was silent. And then a week later musemaniacs were divided into 2 armies. What has happened, dears (I’m talking to the opposite army)? It was said before that this one will be “classically” different from all the others. So why are you complaining, “Are they kidding us?” Yes, that’s true, the album is classical-symphonic in a whole, but that’s not really awful (you haven’t seen awful things perhaps yet). Maybe there was something in their souls that they just couldn’t express without an orchestra, and the sound of these instruments is really so joyful for ears (yesss, in case of Muse we can afford ourselves to say such beautiful things). Anyway, the album has also drive, speed, sorrow.. For me it’s really Musey. The main subject is Love – with all its expressions. And so, The Resistance.

Whoooo.. We are rising with Muse for fat cats having a heart attack, well, you know, not literally. Uprising is a really brave and exciting song with a strange sound (keyboard sound perhaps). This song will remind you of Bliss. As for me, before I’ve heard the album I was afraid that it will open a song similar to United States Of Eurasia. It’s indeed a great and positive song which can gather people for peace and unity but I think I would be disappointed if the opening track wasn’t Uprising. But let’s leave it now. Ah, if you remember we have another comment about United States Of Eurasia in our blog: count this, please.

The track with the same name as the album – Resistance. One of those songs that really have a drive but are really sad. I tell you, when I heard it for the first and the next times, I was crying. It’s a love story where the heros have to run away in the end. How would this sound in a big-big stadium...

The clouds of sadness will be gone when it comes to Undisclosed Desires just because of the fact that you are going to sing along:

Guiding Light – the guitar that is driving crazy and Matthew’s Hooooooo, hooooooo,Mhooooo Haaaaaaaa... It belongs to the category of stadium-songs when thousands of fans will enjoy this song holding their breaths. Unnatural Selection – Muse does phylosophy again. Just listen to it: is starts with organ: you will imagine yourself in a church (!?) then you will run out like hell, run through the streets reaching a high point and scream to the world: “I want the truth!”.

MK Ultra: this is the Muse you know – with drive, awesome arrangement and many thought coming along.

I Belong To You – Ohhh, it’s really scary when you listen to it attentively and realise that it’s a realy an expression of love, everything that Matt couldn’t just say in words. This is a parallel between his life and Samson and Dalila opera of Camille Saint-Saёn. Many rumours about this, starting from how his French is really bad, ending with the fact that he devoted the song to his love – Gaia Polloni, although he doesn’t accept this. In any case, if we stop digging in their lives and take the song itself, then it’s the best rock/opera performance.

And in the end we have 3 really orchestral pieces - Exogenesis: Symphony,Part 1; 2; 3. It’s really hard to comment on these 3 songs, they could be 3 mini operas on their own. Well, my favourite one is the third, although all the tree are really awesome!

Yes, most of you would say that these songs are not really the thing we call indie rock. But, dears, this is Muse!
