Noel Gallagher Quits OASIS

August 29... Opened the Official Oasis Website and fell down of my chair... Noel Gallagher said goodbye to OASIS! His words stuck in my brain, and it's really hard to read it... But here these word are:

"It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.

As of last Friday the 28th August, I have been forced to leave the Manchester rock'n'roll pop group Oasis.

The details are not important and of too great a number to list. But I feel you have the right to know that the level of verbal and violent intimidation towards me, my family, friends and comrades has become intolerable. And the lack of support and understanding from my management and band mates has left me with no other option than to get me cape and seek pastures new.

I would like firstly to offer my apologies to them kids in Paris who'd paid money and waited all day to see us only to be let down AGAIN by the band. Apologies are probably not enough, I know, but I'm afraid it's all I've got.

While I'm on the subject, I'd like to say to the good people of V Festival that experienced the same thing. Again, I can only apologise - although I don't know why, it was nothing to do with me. I was match fit and ready to be brilliant. Alas, other people in the group weren't up to it.

In closing I would like to thank all the Oasis fans, all over the world. The last 18 years have been truly, truly amazing (and I hate that word, but today is the one time I'll deem it appropriate). A dream come true. I take with me glorious memories.

Now, if you'll excuse me I have a family and a football team to indulge.

I'll see you somewhere down the road. It's been a fuckin' pleasure.

Thanks very much.

Goodbye.

NG."

So, all we can do it's just waiting for Liam's words about the future of the band. Wonder they can go on without Noel "The Great"

In a bit... DOYS...

Oasis To Re-Issue Their Studio Albums On Vinyl

Following the release of Dig Out Your Soul worldwide, Oasis will be re-issuing their studio album catalogue on vinyl later this year on a limited one-off re-press. All seven studio albums –

'Definitely Maybe'

'(What's The Story) Morning Glory?'

'Be Here Now'

'Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants'

'Heathen Chemistry'

'Don't Believe The Truth'
'Dig Out Your Soul'

as well as B-sides album 'The Masterplan'

will now be available through Big Brother Recordings on super heavyweight vinyl and will feature brand new sleeve notes from July 13th.

from: oasisinet.com

Re-issuing follows an other release, Noel Gallagher’s live album "The Dreams We Have As Children" recorded in 2006 during the
Concert in Royal Albert Hall for Teenage Cancer Trust. Noel performed the best Oasis’ songs
like a ‘Slide Away’ and ‘Talk Tonight’. And there is full track list of this BEAUTIFUL release:

1. (It’s Good) To Be Free
2. Talk Tonight
3. Fade Away
4. Cast No Shadow

5. Half The World Away
6. The Importance Of Being Idle
7. The Butterfly Collector
8. All You Need Is Love

9. Don’t Go Away
10. Listen Up
11. Sad Song
12. Wonderwall
13. Slide Away
14. There’s The Light That Never Goes Out
15. Don’t Look Back In Anger
16. Married With Children

I was so delighted listening this album, and I thought for a moment that Noel could have been a solo artist ‘cos his performances of Oasis’ “The Best” is really the best ones ever…

P.S. Waiting for Noel’s solo album harder every day…

P.P.S. Don’t believe that crap that Liam has plans to be a movie star… He’s so busy and tired…

in a bit... DOYS...

Rest In Peace, Michael

Paramedics found Jackson in cardiac arrest when they arrived at his home shortly before 12:30 p.m., three minutes and 17 seconds after receiving a 911 call. His personal physician was already in the house performing CPR. Jackson was not breathing, and it appears he never regained consciousness. Paramedics treated Jackson at the house for 42 minutes, and he was declared dead at 2:26 p.m. at UCLA Medical Center, about two miles from his home above Sunset Boulevard.

After death of Kurt Cobain, personally for me this is the biggest loss in music. The greatest icon of pop music lost everything in last years of his life and couldn't make a comeback. Being stoned for numerous surgeries and strange behaviour he will remain one of the most misunderstood persons in the world. He was a King and he lived like a King.

Rest In Peace, Michael

Yours sadly

New Album from Klaxons: not earlier than 2010

Despite claiming that they have about 30 songs ready, Klaxons won't release new album this year. The reason is: there is no producer. Jamie Reynolds told BBC 6 Music: "We're looking for a producer and if anyone out there makes records, give us a bell."
The guys are careful in this case and don't want to produce the album by themselves, maybe thinking it won't be perfect that way. "We'd really like to put out the first great record of the 2010s rather than the last great one of this decade. Now that's become an aspiration and a goal."
This had negative response from the fans of the band. Yes, we can imagine, the release of forthcoming album has been delayed.. again.. till 2010..

Yours truly Gaya

Jet - The Wild One Killed In Action

Do you like Emperor's New Groove? About the Emperor Kuzco.. Well, do you remember the episode when the lama saves Pacha's life after the collapse of a rope bridge, and he says "aha, aha-aha-aha". This phrase you will remember first after you hear the new song K.I.A. (Killed In Action) of Australian band Jet. Yes, you can get prepared your ears and remind yourself some twist-moves because in August you just HAVE to dance to and sing along with the new album of these Aussies!
After huge success of the first album Get Born in 2003 which became platinum and Shine On in 2006, which was, well, quite weak for the band and did not make any big noise many people, including me, probably were thinking that this band will collapse. Fortunately not! In 2008 they released a tribute cover of Johnny O'Keefe's song The Wild One together with Iggy Pop. The single included the cover version, the original one (remastered) and 2 awesome dance remixes. This release assured all the Jet fans that the band WILL return soon and it will be much more powerful thing than Shine On.
On April, 2009, Jet made K.I.A. available on their official website. And now it's clear that the band will release Shaka Rock, the 3rd studio album, on August 25, 2009. Jet performed some of the new songs live during the concerts in late 2008 and 2009. The first single is announced to be She's a Genius.

Meanwhile K.I.A. having a really crazy drive but not on the highest speed, sounds like a clockwork bomb ready to explode on August 25, 2009! It will be like.. you know.. Tick Tick BOOOOOM!!!

Be aware!

Yours truly
Gaya

We Smoke Fags decided to take a permanent hiatus

A post from Joey from We Smoke Fags:

"Hello, Joey here...
I'm sorry to say that We Smoke Fags have decided to take a permanent hiatus- we never split up, but over the last 6 months we have all individually been working on other projects.
I'd like to say on behalf of all of us - the last three years have been amazing and thank you for your all your support.
We Smoke Fags never really had much exposure in the mainstream music press, yet somehow we managed to gain almost 3 million individual myspace plays, play all over the world (sorry if we didn't make it to your country), release a single and confuse some people along the way... Not bad work for a band that started for fun one 2006 afternoon in a Stockwell bedroom.

What now?

I have formed a new band called Verb Gang...
Lee is currently playing bass with New Young Pony Club.
Harry is forming a new band in the near future but can be found dj-ing his selection of 'Party Classics' in London under the We Smoke Fags banner...

We Smoke Fags

We Smoke Fags band members were:

Joey - Vocals/Guitars/programming
Leeroi - Bass/Vocals
Harry - Guitars/Vocals

RIP We Smoke Fags, it was nice to discover you and good luck on new projects!

Yours truly
Gaya, the fan
